LEOPARD PRINT!!

Yes, I know a lot of you associate leopard print with Jersey Shore’s Snooki and immediately get turned off. But it can be very classy if you dress it appropriately and can add some interesting textures in your house. Leopard print is very versatile; it can be used on jewelries, shoes, pants and dresses to home decors like pillows, throws, lampshades or photo frames.

If you are afraid that its too bold for you, try as accessory first like a clutch, bangles or shoes. It’s great way to jazz up boring, old LBD, LWD or add a bit more oomph to a bold, colorful outfit or add a little spice in your home . You can wear it 24 hours a day, casually for daytime and dress it up for night out.

See how Emma Watson, Olivia Palermo and Beyonce wears leopard in the daytime as accessories ( scarf, flats and sunglasses respectively).

Nicole Richie and Jessica Alba shows us how to dress up a casual daytime outfit with leopard print booties and jeans.

Finally, we have Brooklyn Decker, Paula Patton, Halle Berry wearing short leopard print dresses and Jennifer Lopez, Khloe Kardashian and Eva Mendez wearing long leopard dresses, all dressed it up for night out; also added a pic of a living room with some leopard pillows.

Below are some of my leopard collection and also retailers where you can get some for yourself.

Add some leopard in your life and unleash the wild animal in you!

Tuesday Trendy

featured_gallery-tuesday

Trendy news of the week is one of my favorite COLOR-BLOCK!! What a great excuse to wear all the colored items in your closet for this summer – clothes, shoes and jewelry!! If you haven’t been color-blocking, then what are you waiting for? You need to start ASAP. Color-blocking doesn’t mean you can only do it with bright colors; it applies to all the colors of the rainbow.

If you are someone who isn’t into brights or have to wear more neutrals for work, then you can still color-block with white, black, grey, brown/nude and blue. For the rest of us color fanatics, the combinations are endless.

But just for good measure, I always consult the color wheel (yes that one that you probably haven’t seen since your tiny tots school days). It helps to see what opposites are complimentary or how you can color-block using colors in the same range for that minimum effect.

Take a cue from all the celebs that are trending in color-block and below are some of my pics showing how I wear this trend.

This week’s trendy topic is on spring/summer’s biggest splash – NEON! From clothes, shoes, jewelry to make up and even hair, we are seeing neon everywhere. Though I am not afraid of wearing colors, I am very cautious of wearing neon. It’s just so “look at me” bright that I feel like it points out all my flaws, lol. So, I decided to try out this trend little by little; I started with jewelry first, then to tops, and finally to a dress (yes, the orange dress below is my only neon dress). I am still on the fence about wearing neon shoes (I like my shoes and bags to be neutral colors) but I am definitely not going to try neon make up (too bold for me, lol). Below are some of my favorite celebs rocking the neon trend and also two of my pictures to show you how I wore my neon.

First picture is a daytime look of me wearing an eyelet dress with neon pink necklace and I paired that with bright (not neon) yellow and pink bracelets. I think the neon adds some sass to the plain white dress.

Second picture is my version of doing neon at night; it’s me wearing my neon orange dress with black accessories and shoes. Since the dress is so bright, I decided to wear it with simple, understated jewelry and plain black belt and shoes to tame the outfit a little.

Let me know in the comments below what you think about wearing neon and how you styled it. Is there any other trend that you are currently obsessed with or would like me to talk about?

Below are some places where you can get neon:

Charlotte Russe dress
Forever 21 top
Rocks Paper Metal earrings
ColorblocksShop necklace
Target shoes (a steal!!)
Aldo purse
